What our content is

Editorial buying guidance about craft cutting machines and the materials that go with them. Our recommendations are reasoned judgment based on manufacturer specifications, published material guidance and documented research, as described on our methodology page.

What our content is not

• Not first-hand testing. We do not run a testing lab, and no page here claims we tested or personally used a product.

Safety

This hobby involves heat, blades and electrical equipment. Heat presses reach temperatures that burn. Blades are sharp. Some equipment — laser engravers in particular — requires ventilation and eye protection.
